"THIS generation" is THEIR generation, not one 2,000 years removed. Luke 21:22 finds Jesus again re-emphasizing the CONTEMPORARY age/generation by stating "For THESE ARE THE DAYS of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled" and again this point is stressed when Jesus says "FOR NOW is the judgment of THIS world" in John 12:31 so I wonder why THIS (generation) in Matthew 23:36 & 24:34 is interpreted as a FUTURE generation, but THIS (World) in John 12:31 is not likewise interpreted as THAT (World) meaning a future world?
