Need ideas in decorating a 650 sqft total living space where I have huge RED leather sofa and loveseat?

Both sets recline. There is a gas fireplace on a corner where sliding door opens to the patio from the living room. Walls are off white. Should I just change my sofa set into a more neutral color (I hate to spend money, since the couches were fairly new?
