Could I sue the company owner if..?

I was the general manager of a company and they shut down, and never paid unpaid invoices and attached my name to all of them. Now all of these other companys wont do business with me, nor do they like me, or want to accsociate with me. It has destroyed my name as a succesfull manager when the owner just didnt know what he was doing. I will never be a CEO like I have strived for because of this matter. Can i Sue the owner, do i have a case?
