The flu jab have you had it?

Hi I am 19 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby..I am wondering if to have the flu jab or not. I have never had it in my life as I am not cled as high risk. I was pregnant 2009 when the swine flu epidemic started but I did not have the jab. My in law's want me to have it for the safety of my baby and I have read up that it is safe in pregnancy. The thing that's bothering me is should I have it as I don't want flu, but I also don't want to have the virus in my body for no reason. I also wonder about the adverse problems that having the flu jab can cause. What if I get the flu in the worse possible way then I have infected myself unnecessarily? I rarely go out and have little contact with people when I'm out. I am seeing the nurse as a new patient today and will mention it to her like wise when I see the Gp this eve I will discuss it with him as I am supposed to have the jab tonight. What would you do?
