Difference between chromosome, chromatid, chromatin, mitosis, meosis etc etc?

I still don't know what chromosome and the other stuff are! well could someone explain this like uh simply and well not too complicated pleasee no book answers i've gone through manyy books. And what exactly is mitosis and meosis well i think its something in plants soo what is it? :)
